Green Street Hooligans is based around the character Matt Buckner (Elijah Wood) a journalism student at Harvard University. Matt takes the fall for his “well connected” roommate and is unfairly expelled for drug possession and without telling his father moves across the pond to London were his sister (Claire Forlani) resides.
Once in London Matt is befriended by Pete Dunhum (Charlie Hunnam) the leader of West Ham United’s firm the Green Street Elite one of the toughest football hooligan firms in England.
Matt is soon lured into the world of fan violence when he is attacked by members of an opposition firm who spot him with the Green Street Elite. Matt learns to stand his ground and despite requests for him to leave the firm he remains, finding the brotherhood hard to walk away from.
When Matts father comes to visit him his secret life back in the USA is exposed, Football hooligans only hate one thing as much as the police and that is journalists. Even though he has given up on journalism he has a hard time proving his innocence to the unforgiving hooligans.
The film is well shot, the cockney accents are contagious and the violence pretty prolific, Green Street Hooligans could have been better but non the less can hold its ground with other football hooligan films like the brilliant I.D.
Memorable Quote
Pete Dunham – “You don’t run, not when you’re with us… You stand your ground and fight!”.

Appearance
Light brown in colour with a cloudy appearance.
Taste
Full bodied flavour with a slightly fruity flavour and malty aftertaste.
Aroma
Malty and yeasty with a fruit accent.
Summary
It owes its cloudy appearance too its traditional top fermenting as it was done by Thomas Cooper in 1862 and therefore should be rolled or spun to mix the yeast residue through before drinking.
Due to its traditional brewing and absence of preservatives and chemicals hangovers are minimal at best.
A great drinking beer on its own, Sparkling Ale is not out of place at the dinner table and makes a great accompaniment to steak and seafood dishes.
With an alcohol content of 5.8%, be wary this stuff can knock you about. Available Australia wide and on tap in many metro areas, one of Australia’s great beers, be sure to give it a try.

After the success of the Hilltop Hoods 4th Album “The Calling” their latest offering stacks up as a make or break album as far as their own main stream popularity and for that matter the popularity of Australian hip hop in general.
This album is a real mixture of party anthems and moody lyrical ballads. This may disappoint some listeners who are getting their first introduction to the Hilltop’s and are only familiar with the first single from the album “Clown Prince”.
The beats are simple with plenty of samples from different musical genres. As the beats are simple they rely heavily on the strength off their lyrics, which on far to many tracks just don’t hold up.
Beside’s the two single releases “Clown Prince” and “The Hard Road” most songs are lacking some substance and will most likely only appeal to fans of the Hilltop’s previous album.
Overall the album didn’t quite meet my expectaions, Clown Prince is such a brilliant track so I guess I was expecting more of the same. Hilltop fans will enjoy this album and hopefully the publicity it has received will help other Australian Hip Hop acts to get their work released.
Standout Tracks
Clown Prince, The Hard Road, Stopping All Stations.
